WRITING YOUR STORY

Time: 5.45pm – 7pm
Alyson will lead you through some simple writing exercises based on The Neighbourhood’s theme that will get your creative juices flowing. The workshop will also look at story structure, and some key writing tips. Then you can decide whether to submit as a written entry, or film yourself telling your story to the camera!
Alyson Evans – Theatremaker
Alyson is an Australia Council award winning artist who has worked around the world as a performer, theatre maker and community artist with a particular focus on cultural development and social change. She has created theatre with remote Indigenous communities, with young people, people from refugee backgrounds, people with disabilities and within prisons. Alyson focuses on telling stories of those who are often unheard.
